Now, more than ever, it’s important to refer your UnitedHealthcare patients to labs that are in-network

UnitedHealthcare® (UHC) has announced that, in many states and for certain employer groups, only in-network lab providers will be reimbursed by UHC for lab testing, and using out-of-network labs may lead to additional patient out-of-pocket expenses.

Referring your patients to in-network labs will help:

  • Avoid patient confusion and dissatisfaction with unexpected out-of-pocket costs*
  • Provide pricing transparency with no surprise bills
  • Decrease lab-related calls to your office and ensure you are spending time where you need it—treating patients
  • Possibly increase your annual incentives

*Varies by state, plan, and member deductible
